What We Offer

The Studio by Jab offers a wide range of services including personal training, group and small group classes, specialising in Strength and Conditioning, Boxing, Muay Thai, Stretch & Release Yoga, kids BJJ and kids Muay Thai, giving you optimal time to learn a new sport, master the basics, make new friends and, most importantly, get moving.

Our prices are competitive and our packages are simple.  Whether you prefer personal training or group classes, you can purchase a package of 1, 10, 20, 30 or 50 sessions, which are all valid for a year.  No fuss with memberships, monthly payments or stresses about travel, we endeavour to make it easy for you to training.

Metabolic/Fat Loss Conditioning:

SHORT, HIGH-INTENSITY, EXPLOSIVE MOVEMENTS REQUIRE MUSCLES TO FIRE IN CORRECT SEQUENCE

Certain activities require explosive effort. Short, high-intensity, explosive movements require muscles to fire in correct sequence, at appropriate speed and with adequate force. This ability is trained in a unique way.

Plyometric principles are widely known to be one of the fastest methods of improving athletic power. However, the methods used historically bring a large risk of injury. Studio by JAB has invested in customized plyometric machines, with the Super Cat and the reformer, designed to promote power transferable to sports specific movement whilst minimizing any risk of injury.

BOXING

ENERGY SYSTEMS TRAINING SEQUENCE

There are three basic energy systems that the body uses to meet the demands of cardiovascular, strength, and endurance activities.

Different tasks require different means of energy production. Specialising in the task-specific system is the key to top athletic performance.

For those interested in developing and maintaining a solid fitness foundation across the spectrum on a year-round basis, all energy systems should be developed and mutually supportive of each other, Boxing is an ideal sport for this.

KICKBOXING

ATHLETES NEED BALANCE, COORDINATION, RHYTHM, TIMING, FLEXIBILITY, CONFIDENCE AND OF COURSE SPORT SPECIFIC SKILL

Conventional training methods that are solely focused on the maximum weight lifted do not adequately address the needs of any athlete.

Building a good foundation starts from the ground up. Studio by JAB utilizes the principles of the Marinovich Dynamic Integration system originally developed for use in the professional leagues of the NFL and NBA, to promote the involvement of the central nervous system in correct movement patterns.

STRETCH AND RELEASE

This class is designed to increase your range of movement and flexibility, facilitate relaxation and release tension. With the use of props, this is a gentle slower paced class that combines elements of Yoga, Pilates, Trigger point therapy and rehabilitation exercises along with breathing and relaxation techniques that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the day.

BEGINNERS YOGA

This class is for people who are new to yoga and would like to learn the basic poses and fundamentals of a yoga practice. A simple sequence of standing and seated poses will be taught with attention to alignment and breath awareness giving you a well rounded practice encompassing stretching, strengthening, mental clarity and relaxation.
